Speaker
Description
As space becomes more congested and competitive and as access to spectrum becomes more challenging, the choices we make in the next decades will determine how we can use space in the future and how countries and generations unborn will access and benefit from it.
This talk will look at the current international and national governance arrangements around the environmental impact of space activities and the management of space sustainability. It will discuss challenges and opportunities associated with various activities including in-orbit servicing, assembly and manufacturing or “ISAM” missions.
It will also discuss different methods, and novel concepts evolving as to how we can best respect and benefit from the space environment and the Earth-space ecosystem now and for future generations.
