John Snow & South College
We have block-booked on-site accommodation for NAM2025 participants in John Snow and South College, both modern colleges with new accommodation buildings opened in 2020. The Colleges are located on the Mount Oswald site in Durham City. They are staffed 24/7 and have 24/7 security. The College is close (~10-15 min walk) to the main teaching and learning centre (TLC) where NAM2025 is hosted.
All bedrooms are en-suite and have the following facilities:
• Free internet connection
• Shaver socket outlets
• Toiletry pack with shower gel, shampoo, soap, body lotion and a vanity kit per person, per stay
• One hand towel and one bath towel per person
• Irons and ironing boards are available from Reception
• Tea and coffee making facilities available in the kitchen areas on each
corridor
Rooms are guaranteed to be ready by 2pm on the day of your arrival. Please depart
your room by 10am on the day of departure. The Reception is open 9am to 6pm daily.
Outside of these times, a 24-hour Porter can show you to your room, and can be
contacted via the internal telephone near to the reception desk. Breakfast is served in the Hub on site from 7am to 9am (TBC).
Smoking is prohibited in all enclosed public spaces in the UK. A designated outdoor
smoking area is provided outside all venues. Plugs and sockets in the UK have voltage
between 220-240V, please bring appropriate adaptors with you as these are not
supplied. Free car parking is available but limited and strictly subject to availability, no
spaces can be reserved.

We have also block booked a number of rooms at the Radisson Blu hotel in Durham city for NAM2025 participants.

Note, NAM2025 partially overlaps with Durham University congregation and so we recommend that any participants who do not wish to stay in one of the block-booked accommodation options listed above should reserve their Durham city hotel accommodation at the earliest convenience. We also note that the city of Newcastle is just 15 mins away on the train and offers excellent additional accommodation options for participants who are happy with a bit more of a commute.
